SD 53 NE WHITTINGHAM CUMERAGH LANE

5/110 Albin House

Farmhouse, now house. Probably earlier C18, altered. Sandstone random
rubble with quoins (front rendered), slate roof with stone gable copings
and brick chimneys (on ridge and at right gable). Single-depth 3-bay plan,
with shallow rear outshut to 3rd bay. Two storeys; board door with plain
stone surround at junction of 1st and 2nd bays; 4 windows at ground floor
and one above: to left 3 lights with chamfered flush mullions, to right 3
small square windows (the outer 6-paned, fixed), and at 1st floor of 3rd
bay a 4-pane sash. Rear of 1st and 2nd bays has two 3-light windows on
each floor (like that at front) 3 lacking one mullion each and one altered
as 6-pane fixed window; 3rd bay has a door (now covered by a large wooden
and glazed lean-to).
