SD 53 NE WHITTINGHAM GREEN NOOK LANE

House, dated 1779 at 1st floor, extended and altered in later C19.
Roughcast, slate roof. Double-depth 2-bay plan, with crosswing added at
right end in C19. Two storeys; symmetrical; central panelled door with
ogival-headed canopy, above this a square datestone inscribed T A :
1779
2 flush mullion windows with glazing bars on each floor, all 2 lights
except ground floor right which is 3 lights; in the centre of the eaves,
corbelled from below them, a gableted dormer with narrow slit opening and
steeply-pitched roof. A chimney at each original gable. Wing to right of
less interest. Interior altered.
