Pair of cottages of c1858. By William Butterfield for Viscount Downe. Red brick with blue-black brick decorative band and C20 plain tile half-hipped roof with part rebuilt brick central ridge stack. 1½ storeys of 4 6/6 sash windows with 2 8/8 sash half-hipped half-dormers over. Decorative wide 1st floor band in zig-zag pattern with nogged band beneath. Diapering door and 1-light to left, 2-light to right, with 6/6 sash over, on gable ends, cambered lintels.
