Public house, formerly house, dated 1721, though perhaps earlier. Coursed
rubble stone and thatch roof with stone central ridge and left end stacks
and stone coped left gable. 1½ storeys and part basement of 3 3-light
eyebrow dormers. On ground floor 3-light stone mullion window, similar
2-light under to basement, similar 1-light, door with stone frame up
3 stone steps and 3-light wooden mullion window. Large 1 storey extension
on right end. Beams and double inglenook inside. Stone tablet over
door with 'SB 1721'. Formerly known as The White Horse.
