Hotel. C17 and C18, front block rebuilt late C19 in C17 style. Front block ashlar
with paler stone dressings, Collyweston stone slate roof, stone ridge and end stacks.
Three lofty storeys and attic. Balanced asymmetrical composition with 3 gables, the
largest to the left. Sash windows. 2 storey canted bay to right with mullioned and
transomed windows. Central carriageway now glazed, a Tudor arch in square surround
with blind traceried spandrels. Earlier ranges to rear retain mullion and transom
windows (west range) and 8/8 sash windows (east range) at first floor level.
