Two houses, No 39 incorporating shop. C18, altered and extended c.1800. Coursed
rubble and squared stone, Collyweston stone slate roof and brick ridge stack. No 39
1½ storeys, with late C19 shop window and passageway to left. C20 door at angle, two
2-light hipped dormers with glazing bars breaking through eaves. No 41 has 2-storey
C19 bay window to left and C19 part-glazed door to right, beneath timber lintel.
Extension to north c.1800, of brick (with ironstone rubble in rear wall) with C20
concrete tile roof, coped north gable and north end stack. Two storeys and attic (now
blind), 2 window range, double-fronted. Ground floor has 8/8 sash windows flanking
panelled door. First floor has 6/6 sash windows. Attic windows blocked to form blind
panels. Interior retains contemporary panelling, cupboards, staircase and enriched
architraves. Coved ceiling to first floor front room.
