Drinking-fountain. 1887. Stone. Gothic Revival. Hexagonal in plan with squat
spirelet supporting decorative cast-iron lamp bracket. Columns at angles with
shaft-rings and stylized leaf capitals. Small piscina-like niches with basins on each
alternate face, that to the south with water-spout. North face has Royal Arms.
Spirelet inscribed "This monument is erected by the inhabitants of Uppingham in loving
and loyal commemoration of the fiftieth year of the reign of Her Most Gracious Majesty
Victoria June 1887 Long Live the Queen."
