walls (gate formerly listed)

GV II

Gateway and walls. Early C17 and probably C18. Ashlar and coursed rubble
stone. Carriage drive gateway of ashlar with rounded arch surmounted
by cornice and openwork double curve with finial and ball on top. Either
side of arch a Tuscan column with entablature and pedestal. A ball
surmounts each. To either side extends a stone coped wall c2½m high.
