6/233 Mill farmhouse and adjoining
former watermill


House and former watermill. Early C19. Coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone
dressings and C20 tile roof with brick central ridge, left end and rear stacks.
L plan, house to left, mill to right projecting forward, gable facing. 2 and
2½ storeys of 3 2/2 sash windows over canted bay, part-glazed door and similar
sash. Lintels have keystones. On left inner return of mill a door with 2-light
casement over. Door to right and central 1st floor loft door on facing gable.
Further openings in gable on right side. Wing and 1 storey extension to rear
of house. Inside the mill nearly all the machinery remains with millstones, iron
cogs and wheels and wooden shoots.
