Aldgate Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse, C18, extended into L-plan C19. Of coursed rubble with Collyweston stone
slate roof. Two storeys and attics. Original front (to west) 3 window range.
16-pane sash windows. Central C20 entrance. Two gabled dormers. Moulded stone end
stacks. Timber lintels over openings, that to 1st floor continuous. East front
part rendered (perhaps concealing openings into rear wing now demolished). North
front C19, roof hipped to east. West end stack. Two-light casement windows,
irregularly spaced, beneath red and white cambered stone heads. C20 door. One
gabled dormer. Lower gabled section to west.
