Tolethorpe Lodge

Lodge to Tolethorpe Hall, mid C19, of coursed squared rubble with ashlar dressings
and Collyweston stone slate roof. L-plan. 1½ storeys. Moulded ridge and north end
stacks. Coped south gable with obelisk finials at apex and on projecting curved
kneelers. Moulded plinth and stringcourse between storeys. Roof hipped to east,
with gabled dormer treated in a similar manner to south gable. Stone-mullioned
casement windows, those to ground floor also with transoms, and relieving arches
above. Open porch in angle of plan, with continuously chamfered flat 4-centred
arches and Collyweston stone slate roof. One storey C20 addition to north.
