Description

SK 80 NE EGLETON ORCHARD CLOSE (west side)
7/36 Nos. 12-18 (even)

GV II

Small terrace of 4 houses, early C19, though earlier core at least to No. 12.
Brick, with some blue headers. 2 storeys, 2 unit plan with central doorway
to each cottage. 3-light wood mullioned windows. All ground floor
openings have cambered heads. Right hand end gable is of rubble and bears
a carved head, and seems to predate the rest of the terrace. It is
therefore of interest that the brickwork of the stack to No. 12 also appears
earlier than the rest.
