5/90 No. 10 (Sundial Cottage)

GV II

Cottage, possibly with C17 core, altered in C19. Coursed rubble with
stone tiled roof. 1½ storeys, a long range, perhaps formerly 2 dwellings,
or house and barn. To the left, a doorway, then a wide casement window
with chamfered lintel, and a canted bay window with ovolo moulded stone
mullions. Beyond this another door in C19-C20 4 centred arch. 2
dormers above, and behind the right hand door, a stack, half of moulded
stone, half of brick. Beyond the door, the building continues in a
buttressed single storey section though with the same roof line. 2
casement windows, one with chamfered lintel, the other in former doorway.
Beyond this a further partially blocked opening with small windows and
at the far end of the elevation, another doorway.
