SK 8411 - 8511 LANGHAM BURLEY ROAD (North side)

House, probably early C17, though refenestrated. Rendered rubble, with
stone plinth and coped gables and stone tiled roof. 2 storeys with attics.
3 unit plan, including lower service end to right of doorway, 1 bay,
3-light casement window in each floor, and brick gable stack. Principal
range has doorway to right, in timber gabled porch and 2 3-light wood
mullioned windows, separated by a full-height projection containing the
staircase with further brick gabled projecting containing window between
hall and parlour. 3 gabled dormers. Axial and gable end brick stacks.
Projecting from the corner of the service end, a 2 storey wing, C19 brick,
with separate doorway and porch on inner face, and latticed windows.
Right of this, an archway links this property with Grange Cottage, over
which, as a painted lead plate, is the date, 1798.
