SK 8411 - 8511 LANGHAM CHURCH STREET (South side)

Pair of cottages, dated 1720 but parts probably earlier. Rubble and
brickwork, with thatched roof. 2 storeys. Front wall on a rubble
plinth, red brick with burnt headers, some rubble work to right of
elevation, and in patches at eaves level. Rubble to gables and rear.
No. 22 has roofed canted bay window to left with sashes, a casement
window with cambered head, and between them, at a higher level, an
old blocked window, possibly for stairs. Casement windows above.
Doorway to left adjoining that of No. 24, in new porch, No. 24 partly
of rubble, with 2 casement windows to right of doorway and 2 above.
Brick stacks. Brick coped-gables.
