SK 90 NW WHITWELL MAIN ROAD

8/171 Barns at Old Hall Farm

GV II

3 barns, probably C18 or C19 in an L plan to N. of house. Rubble with
pantiled roofs. Main range runs E.W. and lower barn has large central
double doors and 3 ranks of triangular ventilation openings, some blocked.
Main tie beams original, rest of roof renewed. Adjoining this building,
to the west a 2 storey building, possibly a stable, with coped gables
and various doors, large openings to upper floor, some blocked. Running
S. of this, a single storey barn with various openings and 2 tiny moulded
stone windows in S. gable.
