House with shop (No 44), formerly a master hosiers house and shop. Late C17, raised late C18, and with mid C19 rear extension. Red brick with dark chequering to ground floor and diaper work at first floor. Granite plinth and Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys, each cottage a single unit. No. 44 has mid C19 shop front with door and 4 light window contained beneath fascia on console brackets. All other windows are 3 light horizontally sliding sashes. Gable end stacks. Cruck exposed in gable end.
