Country house, C1750, of Flemish bond brickwork with stone dressings and
hipped slate roof. 3 storey central block of 5 bays, pavilions to either side,
added 1844-5, oriented at right angles to main front. Central bay expressed by
giant stone pilasters of Corinthian order and a pediment. Corners have giant
stone pilasters. Stone plinth, and cornice, decorated in central bay. Stone
sill course to 1st floor. Porch with plain piers and pediment, double entrance
doors. Moulded stone surrounds to 12-light sash windows. At 1st floor, central
bay has rounded headed window with traceried fanlight and moulded jambs with
capitals. Side pavilions have single window to front but sides have 3 bays,
with central doorway and channelled voussoir stone heads to sash window.

Interior of Hall largely dates from C19.
