3/31 Hurst Farmhouse
House of c1835. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Twin span of 3 storeys
with red brick end stacks to right, ridge stack to centre left and end
stack on 2 storey wing to left. 3 windows, 3-light casements to left
and right and 2-light over front porch. All have brick hood-moulds in
Tudor style. Rectangular porch with similar hood-mould over arch and
blank lights on side walls. Flat roof with parapet. Wing to left has
similar 3-light casements. On right end facing road in centre of each
span a blank window niche on each storey complete with identical hood-moulds.
Part of original design. On rear a similar arrangement of casements.
The finest of several buildings in identical style in this village.
