SP 4293 NE TOWN OF HINCKLEY THE CASTLE, Angent's
War Memorial. Circa 1920. Stone with copper statue. Octagonal shaft
on 3 steps with moulded base and inscription 'TO KEEP IN MIND THOSE
FROM THIS PLACE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR, 1914 - 1919',
below bulbous band with inscribed strapwork frieze carrying octagonal
corniced base to sculpture of an angel representing peace. 4 tall
antae flank this pedestal up to cornice height.
