War Memorial

II

War memorial. Circa 1920. Pedestal designed by J.W. Worth with
sculpture by A. Smith and inscriptions by E.J. William. Portland
stone. Tall cenotaph with cornices at about half-height and at the
top, all on a low plinth. Panels with inscriptions in
bolection-moulded surrounds below, with volute-brackets above carrying
masks and swags. Upper panels with reliefs of saints. Statue of angel
on top.
