1750. Fine C18 facade of three storeys. Five windows. Red brick. Rusticated
stone pilasters at ends, and slightly projecting centre (one window).
The top storey centre window is semi-circular in moulded architrave with
keyblock and console brackets to sill, the second storey Venetian, with
fluted pilasters and key-pattern frieze and cornices to side lights, console
brackets to cill. Ground floor has central door between two windows.
Elaborate wood doorcase with dentil and modillion pediment, ornamented
triglyph frieze and fluted pilasters, fielded-panel door. Moulded stone
bands divide the storeys, breaking forward to form capping to keystone
of each window. All windows segmental headed sashes with glazing bars
and moulded cases, moulded cills and keyblocks. Moulded plinth. Good
moulded dentil cornice at eaves, and central pediment with similar ornament.
Old slate roof with gabled ends. Brick chimney stacks. Generally very
plain interior much altered because of use as offices. Fluted columns
supporting entablature across hall. Plain staircase with plain wooden
balusters and oval light to ceiling. Grand floor room left has modillion
cornice. AM.
