Early C18 house. Red brick, heavy moulded wood eaves cornice. Moulded
plinth. Painted moulded brick bands at first and second floor levels.
Steep-pitched slate hipped roof. Three storeys. Five windows, segmental
brick arches, sashes with glazing bars, exposed moulded cases, ground
floor with outside shutters. Good large central doorcase with fluted
pilasters, frieze and segmental modillion pediment, glazed rectangular
fanlight and flush-panelled door. Good interior: large fluted Ionic pilasters
on inside of doorway, panelled hall and stairs, staircase with turned
balusters, fluted column newels and moulded handrail. Panelled rooms
on ground and first floors, doorways with pediment or cornices. (Formerly
Vicarage, now school).
