Including No 17 New Street.
Range of mid C19 buildings in red brick, with brick eaves cornice, slate
hipped roofs. Three storeys, set back from building line. Ten windows,
segmental brick arches with moulded stucco keystones, and sills. Sashes
in moulded cases with glazing bars. Third window on first and second
floors blocked. Brick chimney stacks one having three circular shafts.
No 6 has shouldered wood doorcase with frieze and dentil pediment. No
8 has similar doorcase but a three-panel fanlight under pediment. End
building breaks forward one window, being return front of No 17 New Street
which is three storeys, four windows, irregular fenestration, central
pilastered wide doorcase with heavy cornice and side lights.
