Walls and gatepiers to Sykefield

II
Walls and gatepiers. c 1880. Designed by Ewan Christian. Red brick with ashlar dressings. A pair of off centre gatepiers, square with chamfered plinth and pyramidal ashlar caps with ball finials. To the left a low wall with three short dividing piers with pyramidal tops and beyond a pair of square gate piers with wooden gates. To the right a long wall divided by six square piers with pyramidal caps. The road slopes away and the wall rises to compensate to the right. Between the piers are brick panels with partially open panels above.
