7/63 The Manse
GV II
Manse for Congregational Church. 1779, refurbished C20. Pale red brick with
paler headers, moulded brick eaves, hipped slate roof, brick chimneys. Double
pile. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Wooden cross casements, all renewed C20, those to
ground floor with cambered heads. Central 6-panelled door has semicircular fan-
light with intersecting glazing bars, wooden reveals, and arched wooden archi-
trave surround with keyblock. Left bays are set close together with right bay
slightly further apart.
