Farmhouse, now a house, with adjoining former cottages, cart shed
and barn. Mid and late C18, with C19 and C20 alterations and
additions. Brick with slate, plain tile and corrugated iron
roofs. The house has a symmetrical 3 bay 3 storey front with
dentillated eaves and 2 gable stacks. Central C20 concrete block
porch, with studded plank door, flanked by single 3 light
casements. Above, a central 2 light casement, flanked by single
larger 3 light casements. All these casements have segmental
heads with keystones. Above again, 2 three light strip
casements, that to the left with glazing bars. To the right, a
former cottage with first floor band and a gable stack, 3 two
light casements, and above, to right, a 3 light casement, all
with segmental heads. At the rear, a close boarded door flanked
by single 2 light sliding sashes, and above, to right, a similar
2 light sash. To the right again, beyond a carriage opening, a 2
storey former cottage with a gable stack and a partly blocked
unglazed opening to the right. At the rear, an off-centre basket
arched doorway, flanked to left by a casement and beyond it, a
door. To the right, 2 blocked openings. Above, 3 square
unglazed openings. To the right again, a 2 bay 2 storey stable
with loft, set at an angle. Dentillated eaves. Off-centre
unglazed window with segmental head, flanked to left by a blocked
doorway and to right by an altered doorway containing a hatch.
Above, to left, a 2 light unglazed casement. At the rear, a
carriage,opening and a door. To the right again, a 3 bay barn
with dentillated eaves and a central hatch with segmental head.
To its right, a C19 addition with an unglazed casement flanked by
single breathers. South side, facing the farmyard, has a pair of
barn doors with a wooden lintel, flanked by single stable doors.
Above, to the left, external pulleys and shaft. To the right, a
loading door.
