Farmhouse with adjoining stable and cottage, now a house and
outbuildings. C17 with mid C18 and C19 alterations and
additions. Brick with fragments of timber framing, corrugated
iron and slate roofs. Single ridge and single gable brick
stacks. 2 storeys, 6 unequal bays. L-plan. North side has to
left a symmetrical front with plinth and first floor band and
central 4 panel C19 door flanked by single 3 light sliding
sashes. Above, to the left, a gable with a 3 light sliding sash.
All these openings have segmental rubbed brick heads with
keystones. Above, to the right, a flat headed 3 light sliding
sash. To the right, a single bay late C18 addition with
chamfered plinth, first floor band, and dentillated eaves. To
the left, a plank door flanked to right by a 3 light casement,
and above, a blocked opening, all with segmental heads. To the
right again, beyond a carriage entry, a 2 bay C19 cottage with a
catslide roofed single bay addition beyond. To the left, a C19
casement. To the right, a casement, and above to the left, a 3
light casement, both C20. To the right a breather. Under the
carriage opening, to the right, a close boarded door with
segmental head and to its right, a hatch. Above it, a plank
loading door. On the left side, a slatted opening. House east
side has a corner post to the left, with to its right a 3 light
casement and above, a 3 light sliding sash, both with segmental
heads. House rear elevation has an off-centre close boarded door
flanked to left by a plank door and to right by a C20 2 light
casement, both with segmental heads. To the right, a flat roofed
C20 porch in the return angle. Above, to left, a C20 3 light
casement. The former stable west front has a central close
boarded stable door flanked to left by a plank door with slots,
and to right by a C19 3 light tilting casement. Above to the
left, a similar casement. At the rear, 2 C20 pivoted casements.
To the right, a single storey stable with an off-centre close
boarded stable door, flanked by single pivoted casements, that to
the right unglazed.
