House of C16, C17 and 1715. Red brick with brick band and small part of
slate and granite rubble stone walling and plinth. Swithland slate roof
with left side, rear wing end, and central ridge stacks. 2 storeys.
Left gable wing dated 1715 in brickwork on rear. Lower main range built
on crucks partly visible. Here 2 further gables, that to right projecting.
Left gable a 2-light casement with top lights on both floors and attic.
A 2-light mullion and transom window on gable's right wall. In central
gable porch with door and 2-light casement with top lights in gable above
and to right. 3-light casement in right gable with 2-light casement with
top lights above. 2-light casement in continuation of main range to
right. Further right, and projecting forwards, a stable of slate and
granite rubble stone with corrugated roof. Truss in cross wall. Rear
of house has 2-light casement in projecting wing with 2-light casement with
top lights over, similar in attic and 1715 in bricks between. Otherwise
door, C20 and other casements and small dormer to left of ridge stack.
Beams and inglenook inside. Group value with barn and Nos. 2 and 20
The Green.
