2/73 The Dower House

GV II

Large house, early C19. Stuccoed brick with Swithland slate roof. Main
facade (west) at right angles to street, a 2 gabled range with central
doorway recessed in a round arched opening, and'to either side, a bay
window, that to right is 3-sided with curved angles, and to left, a full
bow, with bowed sashes. Tall sash windows above. Decorative barge
boards. To the road front, 4 12-light sashes, the left hand 2 blocked,
and an axial stack.
