Circa 1708 thought to have been first built by John Massey but in 1808, top storey
to western part and the east wing added. Red brick facade with rusticated stone
quoins and moulded stone sill bands; cornioe and small parapet. 3 storeys. Street
facade has 5 windows, all barred sashes with moulded stone architraves. Top storey
has 3 windows only. Main front is to garden, at right angles to road and has 5
windows, 1 being a long round-headed landing window through all storeys. Good projecting
stone porch in Greek Ionic style with paired columns. Interior has good staircase.
Some interior features of 1708 remain. Ref VCR.
