16/16 Old Manor Cottage

II

Farmhouse, now a house. Mid C17, raised early C18, with mid C19
additions. Coursed rubble and brick, roughcast, with steep
pitched slate roof. Rubble and brick plinths, coped gables,
single ridge and single gable stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays. South
west front has to left a C20 door flanked by single sliding
sashes, and beyond, to right, a similar sash. Above, to left, 3
two light sliding sashes. To their right, a smaller sash and a
casement. Beyond, to left, a C19 lean-to addition with pantile
roof, corner stack and a close boarded door. Rear has to left a
chamfered Tudor arched doorway with part glazed door. To its
right, a 2 light sliding sash with wooden lintel, flanked to left
by a 2 light and to right by a 3 light sliding sash. Above 3 two
light sliding sashes and beyond, to left, a smaller sliding sash.
The interior has chamfered span beams and fireplace bressummers.
The adjoining service wing, now converted to a separate property,
is not included in this list.
