Lodge, now a house. Mid C19, with mid C20 additions. Coursed
and squared ironstone with limestone ashlar dressings and
thatched roof. Fretted bargeboards with drops and coped square
stone ridge stack. Single storey, 2 bays. T-plan. South front
has central gabled porch with chamfered and moulded Gothic arched
doorway and close boarded door, and a small chamfered pointed
fixed light in each side. Beyond, single 2 light cross mullioned
casements with moulded surrounds and flat hoods. West side has a
casement, and to right, gabled wing with a casement. East side
has to left, a wing with a thatched square bay window with a
casement. To its right, a plank door. Beyond, to right, a C20
flat roofed addition with a re-set triple lancet. This building
was erected as a lodge to the main entrance to Stapleford Park.
