Small country house. C17, early and late C18 and early C19.
Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and Collyweston
slate roof. Coped gables, chamfered plinth, first floor band, 3
gable and 3 lateral coped ashlar stacks. 2 storeys plus attics,
5 bays. South front has a central half glazed doorway with
traces of a former pedimented doorcase, flanked by single C19
canted bay windows each with 3 plain sashes. Above, 5 glazing
bar sashes and above again, 3 hipped dormers with 2 light
casements. To the left, a late C18 single bay addition. To the
right, a C20 summerhouse with flat roof. West entrance front has
an off-centre C19 gabled porch with recessed double door, flanked
by single 3 light mullioned windows. To the right, a gabled wing
with a squat Venetian window and above, a round headed plain
sash. Both these windows have fine ashlar surrounds with
keystoned heads. To the left, C19 additions with 2 three light
cross mullioned casements.
