SK 7002 - 7102 LEICESTER ROAD (North Side)

Cottage. Late C16, refronted C19. Cruck framed with ironstone plinth and
front wall rebuilt in brick, rendered over. Formerly thatched. Single storeyed
with attic, it consists of 2 bays of an apparantly former 3 bay building,
with central door and flanking windows with rendered surrounds. Central stack
behind entry. 2 pairs of collared cruck blades survive, crossed at apex to
support ridge piece.
