Stable block. Late C18 or early C19. Brick and ironstone rubble with Swithland
slate roof. 2-storeyed. N.E. front of 7-bays (2-3-2), the middle section emphasised
by a pedimented gable, and containing a doorway in a round arched recess.
Windows on each floor are 16-light sashes with cambered brick heads and above
each one is a small oculus. Wood eaves cornice. Clock in pediment. Wood cupola
above. S.W, elevation is of coursed ironstone rubble with Swithland slate
roof. 2-storeyed, but altered by the insertion of 3 modern garage doors to
left and 1 to right, above which an original segmental archway survives. In
the centre is a round arched doorway with fanlight set in a squared frame
of thin tiles. Single 2-light sash window to its right. Upper windows also
2-light sashes.
