1/65 Lowesby Hall: steps and retaining


Flight of steps and retaining wall to lower terrace on N.W. of house. Circa
1912, by Lutyens. Brick. The flight of steps is in 2 parts, of opposed
semicircles, with intermediate circular landing of brickwork laid in a pattern.
The brick retaining wall forms 3 sides of a rectangle and there is a lower
flight of steps with piers capped by heraldic beasts, recently rebuilt.
