to rose garden

GV II


Retaining wall to rose garden. Circa 1912 by Lutyens. Brick. The wall is
raked steeply for most of its length, the eastern-most section only perpendicular
on rubble plinth and probably of earlier date, terminating in brick pier with
stone ball finial.
