1/73 The Cedars


Farmhouse. Early C18 core, altered in C19. Mostly of ironstone rubble with
later additions and alterations in brick. Welsh slate roof. Two storeyed,
three units, but of varying builds. One bay to left of doorway has ironstone
plinth and narrow C18 brickwork above, with 3-light casement to ground floor.
First floor is of C19 brickwork, also contains a 3-light casement. Line of
heightening visible in gable wall. Right hand section has ironstone rubble
ground floor, late C18 or early C19 brickwork above with whitish headers.
Doorway to left, backing on to axial stack. Right of it two 3-light casement
windows with cambered brick heads. Single upper 2-light casement. Brick
gable and axial stacks. Dentilled eaves cornice.
