SKEFFINGTON

SK 70 SW ROLLESTON ROAD (East Side)

Cottage. Largely C16 or C17, with slightly later facade. Brick fronting to
timber frame, thatched roof. I½ storeyed, 3 units. South elevation is brick
with off-centre doorway and flanking 3-light casement windows with cambered
brick heads. The right hand bay is slightly recessed and of C18 brickwork
with blue headers on ironstone plinth. Additional doorway in low outshut to
left. 3 2-light casements above. Curved principals visible in right hand gable wall.
Brick outshut to east on rear wall, 1 brick bay beyond it with doorway and
single casement window then 3 bays of timber framing to right with possible
blocked central doorway and a 4-light wood mullioned window. Gable and axial
stacks.
