House. Circa 1840. Very finely coursed ironstone rubble with limestone dressings,
and plain tiled roof. Two storeyed with attic. Entrance front of three bays
with lower three-bay wing to right. Doorway centrally placed in full height
projecting coped gable porch, a two centred arched doorway with hood mould and
2-light mullioned and transomed window above. Large expressed chimney in left
hand bay. 3-light mullioned and transomed window on each floor to right, and
a 2-light window in a coped gabled dormer with moulded kneelers. Doorway and
two windows of 2 and 3-lights with stone lintels in lower wing. South elevation
of two bays with squared bay window of 4-lights to left with raking ashlar roof,
and 4-light mullioned window above. The right hand bay projects as gable with
canted stone bay window to ground floor, 3-light mullioned and transomed window
above, and lancet in the apex. Moulded kneelers and finials to all gables.
West elevation of five bays including a lower wing to left, of one bay with wood
mullioned light, and two gables, the southern most a wide one with central stack
carried on corbels, and outer 2-light transomed windows. Various gable and axial
stacks.
