House, formerly stables of Keythorpe Hall. Early C19. Coursed ironstone
with ashlar dressings and slate roof. Forms 3 sides of a court yard the principal
entrance of which is to the east where a high wall links the end gables of
the wings of the house. These are massively pedimented, slight pilasters
support the heavily moulded pediments and the cornice continues along the
wall to the central gates, where it terminates in 2 grotesque masks. The
gateway has segmental arch springing from pilasters and raised entablature
above. Main part of house is west range of court yard. Outer pilasters and
coped gables, but all doors and windows are new insertions.
