3/6 Church of St. Giles


Small Church. 1878. By G.E. Street. Coursed rubble stone with quoins and
stone dressings and Welsh slate roof. Stone coped gables with kneelers and
finials. Small nave and chancel under one roof with W bellcote, E semi-circular
apse and S porch. In Lancet style with window (quatrefoil) to W, 3 to N,
2 to S, and 3 in apse. C19 stained glass. Gabled bellcote with single arch
and bell. Gabled S porch. W vestry. Later C20 W screen incorporating 2
panels of probably C16 stained glass from old House of Lords. Pevsner and
V.C.H., Vol.V.
