SP 89 SW MAIN STREET (South Side)

Cottage. Dated 1790. Coursed rubble stone with quoins and Welsh slate roof,
with brick end and rear stacks. Stone coped gables. L plan, wing projecting
right. Main range gable facing, front to right. 2 storeys. 2 casements on
1st floor : centre-opening 3-light and 2-light. On ground floor a similar
3-light and 4-panelled door (upper panels glazed) under 2-light. A similar
3-light on both floors on wing. Projecting right from end of wing a 1 storey
red brick extension with corrugated tile roof and plank door. A 1-light casement
on main range facing gable. On wing gable a stone tablet inscribed 'E.W.
1790'.
