SP 79 NW
House, formerly rectory. 1841. Red brick and Welsh slate hipped roof with
various brick ridge stacks. Wide eaves. Section to right set back slightly.
2 storeys. Section to left of 4 windows of same size: from left, 2 6/6
sashes and 2 2-light wooden mullion and transom windows. On ground floor a
6/6 sash either side a right-centre flat topped stone porch. 2 Tuscan columns
support entablature. Flight of steps leads up to 6-long-panelled door with
overlight. Section to right of 3 2-light wooden mullion and transom windows.
Garden front to left, of 4 6/6 sashes both floors. V.C.H., Vol. V, p26, gives
date, quoting contemporary rector's notes in parish register.
