Cottage. C17, with C18 addition. Timber framed with brick nogging, and mud
walling in part . Corrugated iron roof covering thatch and 2 brick ridge
stacks. 1 1/2 storeys of 2 centre-opening 3-light casements. 2 similar eyebrow
dormers over. Plank door to far left. On left end a 1st floor 2-light
horizontal sliding sash. 2 wall posts visible on cottage front and further
fragments of framing to rear. On right end a 1 storey extension of red brick
with Swithland slate roof. Inside this is said to be a re-used beam inscribed
'A.H. 1693'. V.C.H., Vol. V.
