1/85 Bean Hill farmhouse and garden
wall

GV II

Farmhouse. Core probably C17 to C18, re-fronted in later C18. Brick with
Welsh slate roof. Two storeyed, 3 unit plan with one bay to right of doorway
which is in wood architrave with console brackets. Windows are tall 2-light
horizontally sliding sashes except in the right hand bay, and above the door,
which are casements, and all have cambered brick heads. Dentilled eaves
cornice. Two gable and two axial stacks. Earlier rear wing, brick with
steeply pitched roof and coped gable. External staircase. Alongside the
house to the right, two further bays are also of earlier date, brick with roof
corrugated probably over thatch. There is an axial stack and curved principal
roof truss visible in gable apex. Brick garden wall on partial cobbled plinth
is attached to left of house.
