Public house. Late C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Ironstone and brick, now
rendered. Slate roof with coped gables and gable stacks, of brick on the north
gable, of stone on the south. Ridge stack and another stack on the west front,
both stone. Tarred plinth. West front, 2 storeys, 6 bays, the 3 to the left
rebuilt in brick. Central C20 3-light square bay window with flat roof, with to
right, a doorway with C20 panel door. Beyond this, a 5-light C17 bay window with
moulded stone mullions and a flat roof. To left, another doorway, with a
segmental head on brackets and C20 panel door, with beyond a 3-light casement
followed by another 3-light casement with cambered arch. Above, a central 3-light
casement with to right, a small 2-light casement and beyond, another 3-light case-
ment. To left a 2-light casement, with another similar window beyond. There are
S-shaped iron wall ties in the north gable end wall.
