GV

House. Circa late C17, extended in circa late C18 or early C19
and again in circa mid or late C19. Brick; Flemish bond front
wall; rear wall Flemish garden wall bond and first English bond;
gable ends various bonds with tile coped parapets with moulded
brick corbelled kneelers; brick string with dog-tooth course at
first floor level at front and rear. Flemish bond brick
extensions. Roof reclad in corrugated asbestos. Brick gable end
stacks.
PLAN: small original house is approximately square on plan with
room to left and entrance to right and possibly with smaller
service room at back. C18/C19 extension on right and C19
outbuilding on left.
EXTERIOR: original house 2 storeys and attic. 2-window front;
on left C20 ground floor casement and C19 or C20 first floor
casement with cambered brick arch; on right C19 panelled and
glazed door and small blocked first floor window. Attic casement
in north gable end. C20 casements and small outshut at rear,
C18/C19 extension on right (S) has 2 window front with 3-light
casements on ground floor with cambered brick arches, 2-light
casements on first floor and slate roof. Outbuilding on left (N)
single storey with corrugated iron sheet roof.
