SP 68 SW SOUTH KILWORTH CHURCH LANE

5/82 Walnut Tree House

- II

House. Circa C18 or early C19, remodelled and extended in C19.
Flemish bond red brick. Welsh slate roof with deep eaves and
verges; rear wing has plain tile roof. Brick axial and gable end
stacks.
PLAN: Long probably 4-room plan; remodelled in circa mid C19 when
wide projecting entrance bay was added to right of centre on
front and wing was built rear right.
EXTERIOR:2 storeys. 2:3:1 bays. 3 bays to right of centre
projects with brick pilasters and pedimental gable. Brick
platband of first floor level. C19 3-light casements with
glazing bars and painted stone lintels and cills. Projecting by
has 2-light casements, centre first floor blind, continuous first
floor cill and central doorway with C20 doorcase and door. At
rear C19 2-light casements and corrugated iron canopy over large
multi-pane ground floor window and doorway.
